The Lynch family is a large, troubled family with seven members. The parents, Marie and Teddy Lynch, are struggling with their own issues. Marie is severely depressed and rarely leaves her bedroom, while Teddy is often absent and prone to violent outbursts when drunk. The eldest son, Joey, is 18 and a senior in high school. He is the protector of his younger siblings, but has recently relapsed after a severe beating from his father. The Character is the second eldest sibling, followed by Tadgh (12), Ollie (9), and Sean (3).
