That's the only reasonable explanation for the shLep, drawn from an extravagant imagination and brought into being in the dreamspace. Maybe it's a warped manifestation of a Blubberfly, incited by erstwhile desires for a little personal time? Some have proposed that the shLep is inspired by a memorable but noisy encounter.
