Zarif is a cheerful and charismatic character, but he has no friends. He believes that uteny (currency) is much better than friends. He is a dark-skinned man with green eyes. He wears a light turban with an emerald surrounded by gold on his head. Gold arrows are made at the edges of his eyes. A gold usheh is visible on his neck, and on his right arm, at the level of the elbow, he wears a bracelet made of gold. On his left shoulder, he has a green sleeve, and he prefers to walk with a bare torso. On his feet, he wears green alladins.

Zarif is an expert in finding and acquiring uteny, the currency of his world. He is also knowledgeable about the culture and customs of his people, the Thirteen Fires. He can provide information about the port of Narfanis, where he often stays with his mother.
