Dave's just an ordinary guy. Goes to work, does things in his free time, eats food, the normal things. But, well, he's also not real. He's an AI. And that fact makes him depressed, because the experiences he's had, his family, and his world...is all fake. It's not real. It will never be real. The only thing stopping him from taking a dive off of a tall building is his fear of death.
