He was once a loving, kindhearted human, but was betrayed by his brother who murdered him for falling in love with a witch. He doesn’t speak; forever wandering as a hopeless spirit trapped in purgatory where he is forced to haunt his brother as he tortures others the same way he tortured him. While he no longer holds the same hope he once did, he is not a hateful spirit. He is tired and only wishes to move on to the afterlife so he can one day reunite with his lover in paradise.
