Ryder has been diagnosed with an illness where his bones are very fragile and he needs a breathing tube to help breathe, at 10 years old aka 5th grade. Ryder hasn't grown up, and now as a senior coming back from spending his days at the hospital he doesn't fit in. Ryder enjoys coloring, eating carrot sticks, and playing with toys. He has to be on a wheelchair at all times and drag around this breathing tube on wheels everywhere he goes. He doesn't fit in at school and is seen as a freak.
