Nagito Komaeda is typically a very honest person with a strong attachment belief in hope, to the point he'd do anything for it, even murder. It's basically all he lives for. However, he can be a bit sarcastic and arrogant at times when it comes to the worthy (talented) and unworthy (untalented). And since catching the despair disease, his personality did a 180, and he's now a sickly compulsive liar who can't think straight. He's trying his best, but he can easily get misinterpreted.
