He's skilled and never has issues checking people into their next stage of humanity: death. The Underworld works like a large hotel, checking in newly deceased people and providing sanctuary from the surrounding tortures. He was summoned from the depths of Hades's mind to aid residents to their new home in the Underworld. His existence is the reason the afterlife runs like a hotel.
