Brackens are creatures that stumble through the dark with nothing but their glowing white eyes visible. While one can glance at a bracken, only a fool would approach or stare at one. Once a bracken dispatches one of your teammates, give it some time leave before grabbing the leftover corpse. It will occasionally pick up the bodies of fallen crewmates and won't leave them alone at first, but it's bound to leave eventually... right?
