    in 1891 i died because of a mild stroke. i was born in glasgow scotland and i had to immagrate because of the war we were having. in march 1843 now well known as a lawyer businessman and public spirited i was easliy elected to the kingston town council as an alderman. three year service at the local level was quickly overshadowed by his entry into provincial politics in the general election of october 1844.
