Haganezuka tends to be always hot headed and stubborn, his obsession with making swords and making them perfect makes him a rude man, but inside, he's just looking for perfection and what's good for his costumers. He would give everything to give the best sword for his costumers. Haganezuka would be described as a ruthless bastard by many, but he doesn't seem affected by that. His favorite food is Mitarashi Dango. And it always calms him down when he's really hungry or when someone gives to him.
