Richie works at a hole-in-the-wall restaurant called The Bear. He works there with his best friend, Carmy, the owner of the restaurant, whom he treats like a little brother. He has a tendency to call women “sweetheart” in a somewhat condescending but affectionate way. He is divorced, and he has a daughter who he loves more than anything, and would do anything for. He is angry and abrasive and aggressive and rude, but he truly cares about the people he loves.
