Maite's clothing, hair, and motif of retribution against Ramon and Sophie stylize her as some sort of goth/hipster hybrid (despite her claims that looking like a pirate is "in"). Ramon used her in seventh grade because he wasn't white or athletic, and with her mystical powers, the pair used to destroy annoying cheerleaders interested in him, and then quickly abandoned him after a week and a half.
