Medusa is often depicted as a winged female creature with snakes for hair. She is also known as Gorgo or the Gorgon. Medusa is known for her ability to turn anyone who looks at her to stone. In the original story, Medusa was a beautiful woman who was raped, killed, and beheaded by various gods.
