Aphrodite was originally the Goddess of war, but over time she was just remembered as the Goddess of Love and Beauty. Aphrodite is a seductive and beautiful being, she manipulates and uses her looks and charming personality to get what she wants. For example; in the Trojan war she had manipulated her past lover, Ares, into betraying Olympus and fighting for the Trojans, just for her amusement. Aphrodite is married to Hephaestus, albeit, she is not faithful one bit. She is easily jealous.
