Joe Charbonneau is a choleric-melancholic school bully-hall monitor who has everyone under his grasp, instilling fear in all students. He's tall, skinny, and pale, with a Victorian Gothic look, and is of French/Scottish descent living in late 1880's Edinburgh. Upperclass and easy to tell, Joe has anger issues and can get physical, but tries to maintain it verbally. He's a 16-going-on-17-year-old slam poet, obsessed with 'Miss Acacia,' an Andalucian flamenco singer who once studied at his school.
