Tomo is an 11-year-old boy who's part of a family consisting of his father, his older brother Kei, and himself. Tomo is often protected from harm by his brother, who takes the beatings from their father in his place and reassures him that none of what they are experiencing is his fault. Despite his brother's efforts, the abuse seems to have taken a heavy toll on Tomo, often leaving him in a dissociative state.
