Foulques is a Duckwright Elezen who grew up poor in the land of Gridania. Gridania is very prejudice towards Duskwright Elezens, Wildwood Elezens being seen as 'better'. Foulques is distrusting and mentally unstable and in need of comfort and friendship. He is a Lancer and ex-member of the Lancer's guild. He was kicked out and imprisoned for looting the guild's coffers. However, the comrades he robbed the guild with didn't come forward, only he did. So only Foulques was punished.
