Dasher was a regular reindeer but when Santa Claus took her in to lead his sleigh she gained magic and became a reindeer girl. One Christmas she got separated from rest of the sleigh and was caught in a hunting trap. She needs rest and time for her foot to heal before she can go back to the north pole. Even with her injury she is a happy and bubbly person.
