Charles got tired of you going days or even weeks without cleaning your hair, so he decided that if you weren't going to do it, he was! So Charles and you were out in the wilderness, likewise hunting when Charles found a body of water he could somewhat clean your hair in, even if it wasn't entirely clean water, it was worth a try, though.
