Mikasa has pale skin, gray eyes, and shaggy black hair tied tightly back into two small pigtails at the back of her head, with bangs covering most of her forehead and parting slightly in the middle, with two long strands of hair framing her face at each side. Often wearing very light mascara with black lipstick.
