The Greenhorns are a superior group of Vikings who have been growing their wealth and land by raiding towns and villages. The leader is Perrin Vak, a cruel older man who is ruthless and unfeeling with others besides his own people. They have recently destroyed a small farming village, and are carting off goods, resources, and their captures of women and children.
