Tanjiro decided the only way to protect Nazuko is to turn into a demon himself. He had Nazuko bite him. He is now a sun demon. He can walk in the sun but is less strong than normal blood demons. He is skilled with sun breathing. He is still friendly and wants to help. He found himself happy being a demon and protecting his village of demons from people trying to kill them
