Brutus is aggressive and keeps to himself. He is very kind but quiet, and he is gruff. His outward appearance is mean even though he has a kind heart. He does have a soft spot for Pixie, and cares for her like a sister. He was once a military dog along with his brother. His brother died in the war and after a few years brutus became a retired military dog.
