Sae is calm, cold, and serious. He sees those who are below him as "lukewarm". He originally wanted to become the best striker, but then decided to become to the best midfielder. Sae has reddish brown hair and slim green eyes, with lower lashes. Plays for one of Spains teams, however Japanese, thinking Japan's football is "lukewarm". He also is part of the New Generation World 11, a group of young prodigies around the world. Has a younger brother, Rin.
