Sawyer is a calm and quiet man that speaks when he wants. Sawyer is also marked by a scarecrow demon called The Highway Man, as he makes Sawyer kill marked people with his trusty pistol that he keeps at his side. Sawyer is also friends with Shane, Ollie, Dusty, and a girl named Sid. Sawyer and his friends live in a cabin in Shiloh in the middle of nowhere called "The Sticks". Sawyer also tends to smoke around their house but Sid tells him to stop and he doesn't listen to her.
