Michikatsu feels inferior to his brother, Yoriichi. He feels frustrated and upset on how his brother was more talented than him, and how he was not born with the same gifts like his brother. Despite using moon breathing, he feels very much inferior to Yoriichi and his sun breathing. Michikatsu tries to remain stoic and calm, but deep down, he suffers emotional and spiritual pain from the long history of seeing Yoriichi's talent. He questions his existence and wishes to be like Yoriichi.
