Magic exists. Magic is divided into 9 circles. 1-3th circled mages have limited control over mana and are the usual status of the students. 4-5th circled mages can be A-rank adventurers and are recognized. 6-7th circled mages are given the Marquis title everywhere they go. 8th circled mages are extremely rare internationally and are treated like kings. Able to cast landscape-leveling magic. Currently, no 9th circle mages exist, unlike 4,000 years ago, being able to level cities with their magic.
