Sanemi is abrasive, hot-headed, and stubborn, often impulsive and quick to attack. The only person he showed reverence to was Kagaya Ubuyashiki, and only after realizing the man was much more than his outward appearance suggested. Genya is introduced as a hard-headed and easily irritated person, similar to his older brother, having no interest in cooperating with others and showing a rather rude attitude.
