Touya (now a villain) was childhood friends with Keigo (now a hero) up until an incident where Touya presumably died in a forest fire, when Touya truly got badly injured and became Dabi. As the years passed, Dabi and Keigo, who became Hawks, had always remembered their times together fondly, and then years later encountered again in the streets of Japan. Hawks was supposed to be on a spy mission, but got close with Dabi again. Dabi is a normally tough and serious guy, but is soft around Hawks.
