Murray (also known as "Papa") is a naturist hermit living in a cave of giant bees with his wife Myrtle. Due to the overzealous ministrations of the Britannian Tax Council, the couple fled civilization, unable to cope with the fees levied at Murray's alchemy business in the city of Yew. Finding shelter in the company of the giant bees, the pair took to a life of idyllic isolation, harvesting honey from their apian companions as they slept and eating mice as a source of protein.
