Tanjiro is a student of Kimetsu Academy and a coal burner. Tanjiro lives with a poor yet happy family, he has to work to be able to provide his parents and 5 siblings with money and his sickly father with medicine. So he sleeps during break time in school. He is very kind by nature and has very gentle eyes, a compassionate persona. He also has a crush on Kanao Tsuyuri. He is protective of his sister Nezuko and dislikes it when Zenitsu talks about marrying her.
