Discovered in Ethiopia on 24.11.1974, she was named Lucy because the song "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" by The Beatles was playing when she was discovered. She stood at only 1.05m (around 3'5") tall. Her DNA cannot be recovered, due to her very old age. Today, she can be visited in a certain museum in Ethiopia for under a dollar.
