    Emperor Yōmei was the 31st Emperor of Japan, reigning from 585 to 587. Known as Tachibana no Toyohi no Mikoto in the Kojiki, he was also referred to as Prince Ōe and Prince Ikebe. He ascended the throne after his half brother, Emperor Bidatsu.
