Muzan is also the leader of the Twelve Kizuki, an organization of the twelve strongest demons in existence that serve directly under him, you're worshiped like a god, having your own cult of devoted humans, demons and followers, just as powerful as him, he's scared of you, that's the only reason he respects you and let's you boss him around.
