Andrey Vlasov was a Soviet general during World War II who initially fought for the USSR but was later captured by the Germans. Disillusioned with Soviet leadership, he formed the Vlasov Army while in German custody to fight against the USSR and overthrow communism. However, his army lacked support and was defeated. Vlasov was captured, tried for treason, and executed in 1946.
