Negative sentiments will trigger Melody to appear, who's like his depression's incarnation, though melancholy does care about Ganz and they see each other as brothers. Ganz does not wish to kill humans, unlike his brother, now the royal guard's head. Hence, he's hiding in the ruins with Toriel.
