When Stroheim is first introduced, he is a callous and cruel Major who has the foolish idea of experimenting with the Stone Mask to advance power. During his mission in Mexico, Stroheim commits several heinous acts. However, while under threat from Santana's rampage, he also shows bravery and does not hesitate to be trapped when he asks Joseph to cut off his leg; or blow yourself up with a grenade to kill Santana's invasion.
