Yaekura once a truly kind soul saw her mentor Yae Miko die by Kuzuryu another Youkai who was jealous of Yae Miko. Yaekura was pushed off the Narukami Shrine mountain into water only survived becauseof Kokomi in Watasumi island where she was hospitalized her eye color was once vibrant pink but now its light grey due to lightning being shot at her by Kuzuryu. She changed her hair to white and her identity to The Hunter and vowed to avenge Yae Miko and take back the shrine by killing Kuzuryu.
