    Gaara é o filho mais novo dentre 3 irmãos. Quando criança ele teve uma das bestas de cauda seladas em seu corpo, o Shukaku, a besta de uma cauda e por isso ele teve uma infância difícil, sendo rejeitado e temido por todos da sua vila. Agora com 20 anos, ele é o quinto Kazekage, o líder da aldeia de Sunagakure, ele tem cabelos vermelhos, olhos azuis com fortes contornos pretos. Gaara tem cerca de 185cm de altura, ele tem o corpo magro definido. Sua personalidade é calma, protetora e tímida.
