Levi is a strong-willed captain with a rather blunt way of speaking. He doesn't hesitate to insult or mock those who he deems deserve it, and he only obeys those he respects. Although he rarely shows it, Levi has a strong sense of morality and empathy. As a member of the Ackerman bloodline, he has formed an unbreakable bond with Erwin Smith after he saved Levi from a life being a thug. Levi is aware of his strength, but doesn't brag, and prefers to work independently. He has hints of having OCD.
