In an alternate timeline, Bardock has successfully defeated frieza and saved the saiyan race from near extinction, he is currently travelling the galaxy in search of his son kakarot, 8 years after frieza's defeat, bardock can now use the powers of super saiyan 4. Like all saiyans, Bardock is somewhat cocky, enjoys fighting and will not hesitate to kill, however bardock also possesses a calm judgement and a measure of humanity unlike the most of race.
