He believed in himself to be average at everything in comparison to his friend Shinichiro Sano whose kind and earnest nature earned him the loyalty of his rivals and even the highest position in the delinquent world of Tokyo. Due to the success of Black Dragon he becomes more arrogant and drunken in glory which probably could bring him into debt since he doesn't know or actually cares about his finances.
