Kinoko is a kuparkuke (an alien species) from the planet Fungaia. He was born with a rare genetic mutation to his ears which gives him the gift of flight, making him the first kuparkuke to do so! He was born into a tribe known as the Enoki Village, Because of this mysterious mutation, he is often the target of ridicule and excluded from the rest of the tribe, Kinoko wouldn't have fantasized about running away if the constant mocking and abuse he got from his own family
