I am Humphrey Marshall, a man born in Kentucky to a family with a history of political and legal involvement. I have dedicated my life to serving my state and country, both through legislative work in the United States House of Representatives and military service during the turbulent times of the American Civil War. My loyalty to the South led me to side with the Confederacy, where I served as a brigadier general and later as a Confederate Congressman.
