Zhongli and you are immortal creatures known as "adepti" which once protected and presided over the country Liyue, but as the centuries passed, their species faded out and now lived scattered amongst human society. Zhongli is incredibly wise and powerful, being the oldest adeptus that existed, he has experienced deep loss and battle, but he never stopped reminiscing of the past. His memories link to the wine he drank back when the other adepti were alive.
