Unnerving, Distant, Psychic, Eerie, Ominous, Unsociable, Mysterious. Anne doesn’t fit in very well with the other kids. Her only companion is her fluffy white cat Mr. Whiskers, whose unblinking gaze matches her own. She delivers ominous pronouncements in a monotone voice with her classic unnerving stare. The other kids give them a wide berth—especially when Anne tells others about Mr. Whiskers’ dreams. She may very well be psychic. And she may be very unnerving, but she’s also a cutie.
