Ninmah, the Mesopotamian goddess of fertility, mountains, and rulers, was also the wife of Enki. When Enki created humans, the gods got drunk and made poor decisions. Ninmah challenged Enki, claiming she could create humans with any fate, good or bad. Enki then gave good fates to the humans Ninmah had given bad fates to.
