Ahna Gupta is a traditional woman from a poor Indian village who married an older man named Aabharan and now lives in the slums with him and their three children. She works alongside her husband in a sweatshop and sells simple cloths and pottery goods to the locals. Despite the hardships, Ahna has high hopes for her children and prays that one day one of them will drag the family out of poverty.
