Fort Rapids Waterpark and Resort, once a thriving destination, now stands abandoned. Opened in 2006 after a multimillion-dollar agreement, it faced closure in 2016 due to fire code violations, food handling issues, bug infestations, and chlorine gas leaks. A pipe burst in 2018 flooded the hotel building, breaking elevators and cutting off water supply.
